Call for tenders

 

The Association du Musée acadien de l’Île-du-Prince-Édouard is looking for a consultant to carry out tasks related to the creation of its new video for visitors to the Acadian Museum.

 

Tasks:

  • Work on copyright: determine copyright owners (images and audio), identify the amounts to be disbursed according to industry standards, prepare agreements, etc.

  • Collaborate with the Association’s subcommittee to do research and write a draft for the new script.

  • Do research and determine which equipment is essential to make the video accessible to individuals with hearing or vision impairment.

  • Make a list of images that still need to be filmed or acquired in 2026-2027.

 

 

Submissions: In the submission, the candidate must demonstrate:

  • a good knowledge of PEI’s Acadian and Francophone community. A knowledge of Acadian history is an asset.

  • a good knowledge of the film and music industries and a good understanding of the most recent copyright laws.

  • examples of related experience.

  • the candidate must also show they are able to read and write in French since much of the material will be in this language.
